Week 4 and Week 5 I went missing, well some of you may have thought that as my posts stopped, no summary or plan appeared!
It was a crazy week and the impact of all it can be seen in my Week 6 Plan where I'm cutting back on the training and early starts!
But In short the two weeks weren't lost in vain, miles were covered, workouts pushed to my maximum and I trained until last Friday when I fell ill again!
I won't bore you all with the details especially the awful run last Friday, which had me in near tears, we will never speak of this run again!
But at the end of week 4 I went for a run alone, not sure how far I'd make it! I've never ran no more than 9 miles on my own, all my half marathons have been completed with Andrea by my side! She had other plans so I was left to on my own!
But no sob stories, it was one of my best runs, and I was shocked, relieved and happy! I achieved 14.02 miles in 2hrs 10, and it was comfortable the whole way around! So with the bad run that followed the week after and my run coming this weekend I have to remember that I can run the distance and the fact I have ran the distance should be a motivation in it self!
This is 2011 and I'm running my first ever Marathon! I've been lost in the training worried about the mileage and not doing enough! But right now I'm sitting back and I'm reflecting, and what ever happens on the day I will do myself justice but I will also enjoy one of the worlds best Marathons! :)
Happy Training to all! Any tips, hints, marathon advice would be great!
